Some weddings feel extra special from the very beginning, and Sydni and Guy’s wedding day in Beaufort, South Carolina was one of those days. This was a couple I was already familiar with long before the wedding day arrived. I have known their parents for quite some time through our CrossFit gym, and over the years I have also gotten to know the girls through competitions and seeing them around regularly. Walking into this day felt less like meeting new clients and more like celebrating people I already cared about, which always makes the experience that much sweeter.

One of my favorite fun facts about this family is that there are four sisters and they are actually two sets of twins. It is such a unique detail and speaks so perfectly to how close knit and full of personality this family is. That energy carried throughout the entire day.

Sydni and Guy were married at the historic African Baptist Church in the heart of downtown Beaufort. This church is one of the most meaningful and beautiful ceremony locations in the area, filled with history, character, and stunning architecture. Sydni and Guy truly looked like they stepped out of a magazine. I swear they could be models. They are an absolutely stunning couple, and the emotion during the ceremony was palpable. There was so much love in the room from family and friends who clearly adore them.

After the ceremony, we spent time taking bridal party and family photos around downtown Beaufort. The light was beautiful, the energy was high, and the joy was effortless. This group was so much fun to photograph, which always allows for candid, genuine moments that feel true to the couple.
From there, we made our way to the Port Royal Sound Foundation for the reception. This venue has recently opened a gorgeous open air reception space, and it truly is something special. Set along the water, it offers sweeping views of the Lowcountry landscape and an unbeatable backdrop for golden hour. As the sun began to set, the sky lit up with the most incredible colors over the water. It was one of those sunsets that feels like pure magic.

I was able to capture phenomenal drone footage of Sydni and Guy during this time, with the water, the sunset, and the open air space all coming together perfectly. It was the ideal setting to end such a meaningful day.
As night fell, Sydni and Guy danced the night away surrounded by their family and friends. The joy, laughter, and celebration carried late into the evening, and it was clear just how loved these two are. Their wedding day was a beautiful reflection of who they are as a couple, elegant, joyful, and deeply connected to their people.
Sydni and Guy, it was truly an honor to photograph your wedding day. Thank you for trusting me to document such a meaningful chapter of your story in Beaufort.
