The rain started early that morning, soft and steady, wrapping downtown Beaufort in the kind of quiet calm that only a fall wedding day can bring. Instead of feeling like a setback, it felt romantic. Intimate. Almost cinematic. And somehow, it suited Averi and Graham perfectly.
The day began in a stunning waterfront home tucked into downtown. With sweeping views of the water and light pouring through the windows, it was the most beautiful setting for a slow and meaningful morning. Averi got ready surrounded by her favorite people, laughter echoing through the house as final touches were added. The rain outside only made the indoor portraits feel cozier and more intentional. There is something about photographing inside a historic Lowcountry home that adds depth and warmth to every frame.

Their ceremony took place in a beautiful church downtown, rich with character and timeless charm. The glow inside the sanctuary created such a classic backdrop as Averi walked down the aisle toward Graham. It was heartfelt and reverent and filled with so much joy.
And then, just when we needed it, the rain paused.

We stepped outside quickly, taking advantage of the break in the weather to capture portraits. The streets were still glistening, the air crisp and fresh, and the light soft in the most flattering way. Those post-rain moments are always worth it. There is a richness to the colors and a stillness in the atmosphere that you simply cannot replicate.
After the ceremony, everyone headed to the reception at the Lucy Creek Dock House, and the energy shifted from romantic to full celebration in the best possible way.

When I say this group knows how to throw a party, I mean it. The dance floor never slowed down. Friends and family showed up ready to celebrate, and it was such a joy to see so many familiar faces in the crowd. There is something incredibly special about photographing a wedding where you can feel how deeply connected everyone is. The hugs were tighter. The laughter louder. The joy completely contagious.
Averi and Graham were fully present the entire evening, soaking in every moment and celebrating with the people who mean the most to them. It was heartfelt, lively, and unforgettable from beginning to end.
Rainy fall wedding days in Beaufort have a way of becoming something truly magical. Averi and Graham’s celebration was no exception. Congratulations to you both. What a beautiful way to begin forever.
