Hannah and Kipp’s wedding in Charleston, West Virginia was one of those days that reminds me why I love traveling for weddings. Their celebration felt peaceful, intentional, and deeply connected to the natural beauty of the mountains that surrounded them.

I had the honor of traveling to West Virginia to photograph both their rehearsal dinner and wedding day. Charleston was such a refreshing change of pace with the rolling mountains, towering trees, and endless greenery that created the most stunning backdrop for Hannah and Kipp’s day. Their wedding took place at Heigh Garden, a beautiful venue tucked into the forest that felt intimate, serene, and timeless.

The day itself was absolutely gorgeous. Just before the ceremony, we experienced a quick downpour of rain. Rather than stress, everyone took a breath and waited it out together. As luck would have it, the rain passed quickly, leaving behind the richest green tones throughout the forest. When Hannah finally walked down the aisle, she did so surrounded by lush trees and softened light, and it was nothing short of magical.
From the quiet moments to the joyful celebrations, everything about this wedding felt calm and meaningful. Hannah and Kipp were present, relaxed, and so clearly in love, which made photographing their day such a joy. Every part of the timeline flowed effortlessly, and the natural setting elevated every single moment.

Hannah and Kipp, thank you for trusting me to document such a special chapter of your lives. Your West Virginia wedding was beautiful from start to finish, and I wish you nothing but a lifetime of happiness together.
If you are planning a wedding in Charleston, West Virginia or dreaming of a mountain wedding surrounded by nature, Heigh Garden is truly a stunning venue and an unforgettable place to say I do.
