Some wedding days stay with you forever, and Talie and Griffin’s wedding was one of those days for me. Not only was it a beautiful celebration in the Lowcountry, it was deeply meaningful on a personal level. I had the privilege of teaching Talie years ago, and when she reached out asking if I would photograph her wedding, I was genuinely honored. Watching a former student step into such a joyful new chapter is something truly special, and being trusted to document it made the day even more unforgettable.

Talie and Griffin were married in Habersham, one of the most charming and picturesque communities in the Beaufort area. With its tree lined streets, classic Southern architecture, and peaceful coastal feel, Habersham is a dream setting for an intimate and elegant wedding. The day was filled with soft light, heartfelt moments, and an overwhelming sense of love and support from everyone present.

Their ceremony was emotional and beautiful, surrounded by family and friends who clearly adore them. Talie was radiant, Griffin could not stop smiling, and the entire celebration felt effortless and genuine. These are the kinds of weddings I love photographing most, where the connection is real and the joy is felt in every moment.

After the ceremony, everyone made their way to the Beaufort Yacht and Sailing Club for the reception. This waterfront venue is a stunning choice for couples who want a relaxed yet refined coastal celebration. The evening unfolded with guests laughing, dancing, and spending quality time together as the sun set over the water. It was one of those receptions where no one wanted the night to end.

From heartfelt conversations to packed dance floors, the atmosphere was warm, joyful, and full of life. Talie and Griffin soaked in every moment, surrounded by the people who mean the most to them, and it was such a pleasure to document the candid, in between moments that made the night so special.

As a Beaufort wedding photographer, days like this are the reason I do what I do. Talie and Griffin’s wedding was not just a beautiful event, it was a full circle moment that I will always treasure. Being able to photograph a former student’s wedding, in a place as lovely as Habersham, with a celebration at the Beaufort Yacht and Sailing Club, is something I will never take for granted.
