Brooklyn & Terrell’s Spring Wedding in Charleston

Brooklyn and Terrell’s March wedding was one of those days that felt genuinely joyful from beginning to end. They were two of the sweetest, kindest people, and their happiness about getting married was completely contagious. They were so gracious and welcoming to both me and my second shooter, making us feel like part of the day from the very beginning.

The girls got ready at a beautiful home on Isle of Palms before everyone made their way to St. Andrew’s Church in Mount Pleasant for the ceremony. Brooklyn and Terrell chose not to have a first look, which meant we knew that moment when Brooklyn walked down the aisle was going to be especially meaningful.

And it was.

There was something so special about seeing Terrell’s reaction as he saw Brooklyn for the first time that day. The ceremony was beautiful, surrounded by their closest friends and family, and it was clear just how excited these two were to finally be married.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds made their getaway in the most Charleston way possible: a gorgeous Thunderbird waiting outside to whisk them away. We took a little time for portraits with the car before they headed off to join everyone for cocktail hour at Harborside East.

Of course, we couldn’t let the day go by without sneaking away for a few more portraits. We were rewarded with the most gorgeous sunset, giving us some of my favorite images from the entire day. There is just something about Charleston in the spring, and the light that evening could not have been more perfect for these two.

The rest of the night was spent exactly as it should be: surrounded by friends and family, plenty of dancing, and so much happiness. Brooklyn and Terrell danced the night away before ending the celebration with a sparkling grand exit that was the perfect way to close out such a beautiful day.

From the quiet anticipation of the ceremony to the Thunderbird getaway, golden sunset portraits, packed dance floor, and final sparkler send-off, Brooklyn and Terrell’s wedding day was full of moments that felt completely like them.

It was an absolute joy to be there to document it.
